Cyclists are already dropping by here on a daily basis. And I want everyone to have a great experience while they are here. But my basic shared hosting plan was starting to give me some concern in regards to the speed that the web pages show up in your browser.

So I came up with a great solution.

I upgraded my hosting plan which meant that my web host had to transfer about a dozen sites I own onto a new faster server. So that you can see all the bike trail reviews, maps, photos and video content without any long delays. In this broadband age we don’t want to see slow loading sites anymore, don’t we? Well I certainly don’t.

That’s why there has been a delay in getting all the bike trail review material online. There were also a few issues when changing servers that caused some of my Australian web sites to go offline for a short period. Hopefully you weren’t visiting then and wondered where we went. Especially so soon after launching.

Now that we’re back online, all the material I gathered from riding bike trails in six capital cities over the last three months will appear here shortly. The reviews will have lots of great information, maps and photos. So you will know exactly what to expect when you head out on your bike. And hopefully this site will also help you from getting lost. Believe me, I took quite a few wrong turns navigating some bike tracks. Even though they were supposed to be sign posted.

Please bookmark and visit BikingTrails.com.au again as those fantastic bike trail reviews will be here at the start of Spring (that’s Spring in Australia).

Please let me know which bike trails you would like reviewed, or which cities or towns you would like to see included, by adding a comment below.

Bike riding has got to be one of my favourite exercise activities. No gym classes to rush to, or boring working out routines. The scenery is always changing. And for every greulling uphill run there is a corresponding downhill sprint to relax and cool off. In fact there is nothing better than to get out on a warm sunny day, wired for sound with my mp3 player, and hit a new bike trail.

Bike trails are also a safe and carefree alternative to busy, dangerous public roads. Safe because there is far less risk of accidents as there are no cars or motorbikes on bike tracks. And carefree because there are less potholes, spoon drains and road traffic to dodge. However biking trails do have their own traffic hazards in the form of speeding cyclists, obstructing pedestrians and the occassional wandering dog.

Nonetheless bike trails do provide a much necessary service for transportation, exercise or leisure. The latter two which are my main motivations for hitting the bicycle trails.

Australia’s cities have been keeping up with the trend to go back to the bicycle for recreation by developing some amazing and picturesque bike tracks. Ideal for comfortable biking with smooth marked bitumen tracks. Scenic paths meandering through our cities, suburbs and outer suburban areas. Some are level and easy to ride. While others are hilly and more suited for great resistance workouts.

Finding and revealing these great Australian bike trails is the purpose of this site. It is quite easy to miss some of these trails when driving around our cities in the car. So I figured it would be far better to go out and search for them, ride them and post a review for you right here.

This site makes it easy to locate local bike trails and see if they would be suited to your style of riding. Reviews will include Google Maps, photos, sometimes video, and a description of the ride. Visitors to the site can also post their comments and rate any bike trail.

I have already ridden several trails, taken photos and ready to reveal them to you. So please visit us again real soon to see which bike trails have been reviewed.
